We are very excited to announce this week's winners of the 'Flying the P' award! Please help us in congratulating Lady Dragons' basketball team members Taylor Goss and Braelyn Oberle! Both Taylor and Braelyn were in the top 4 three point shooters in a field of 20 at the Regional to advance to the Sectional.
Taylor then finished in the top 4 of 16 shooters at the Sectional to advance to State. Braelyn ended up in 5th place at Sectionals, just missing out on qualifying for state.
Last night, Taylor finished in the top 4 of 32 shooters to advance to tonight's class 4A finals at Redbird Area. If she is the top shooter tonight, she will advance to the Queen of the Hill finals tomorrow against the winners of the other three classes. Way to go ladies!!! Jump Simulation is excited to announce a new slate of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) courses for Spring 2019. Beginning in April, high school students will have the chance to select from three difference courses. The first: Mini Med School will give participants a glimpse of what medical students learn about the human body and apply that knowledge during hands-on, realistic clinical activities. The second: Medical Visualization – Building a 3D Game gives students the chance to build a 3D video game from the ground up, learning the fundamentals of level design and development, building and customizing their game experience as well as receiving an introduction to coding in the C# programming language. The third: Survivor – Engineering Edition allows learners to work as teams to complete engineering and medical challenges. On February 9th, the PCHS Noteables Showchoir traveled to the Manteno Main Event Show Choir Competition where Collin Logsdon won the group Outstanding Performer Award (as chosen by the judges) and Paige Calvert won the overall Female Solo Competition out of all of the competing show choir soloists.
