I've got a new Dell PowerEdge R520 server ordered up with a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard OEM license. Unfortunately, I didn't order any media and since it's our first 2012 R2 server, I don't already have a disc. I notice Dell are charging £25 for a 'media kit', which is a complete rip off and you can probably only order them with a server. I wonder if the server will come with a mechanism to 'burn your own' recovery media. Unfortunately, I'm going to need install media straight away, since the new server is meant to be a Hyper-V host and I need to install 2012 R2 onto the VM's I create.
