Duo “Una Sinistra” at Rachmaninov Hall - Moscow by On October 11th in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, was hosted a concert by the duo ‘Una Sinistra’ under the title ‘Creativity Youth’, organized by MBOF ‘New Names’, under the artistic direction of. The concert opened with the work by Viacheslav Semionov, ‘Skaz o Tihom Done’, from the ‘Don Raphsody’. (button accordion) joined with the duo - (piano accordion) and (button accordion) – to perform this piece. The concert program performed by the duo included the original compositions and their own transcriptions of works by F. Piazzolla, V.
Peshkov, and P. The concert concluded with a standing ovation by the happy audience. The duo ‘Una Sinistra’ was formed in 2003.
The duo has won the ‘Coupe Mondiale’, and regularly participates at international festivals in Russia, Finland and Italy. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall Memorial Concert - Russia by On Tuesday 6th October at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, a concert was held in memory of the outstanding Russian conductor Nikolai Kalinin, who was the leader of Osipov’s Russian folk orchestra (NA ONIR named after Osipov) from 1979 to 2004.
The concert included two Russian folk instrument orchestras - Volga Russian Folk Orchestra named after Kalinin and NA ONIR named after Osipov – as well as well-known Russia performers and singers. One of the highlights of the concert was the performance of the unique bayan ensemble performing the famous 'Skaz o Tihom Done” from “Don Raphsody” by accompanied by the Volga RFO. The ensemble included the outstanding bayanist and People's Artist of Russia and his students, winners of international competitions,,, Stanislav Malyshev,, Danil Stadnyuk and Maxim Fedorov. The performance was warmly embraced by the Moscow public. He also used the occasion to introduce the audience to newer accordion works. This was complemented by some wonderful arrangements of Russian folk songs.
