Okay I found my old original Pioneer 2007 map disc and checked out the files on the disc but not seeing the needed files that DV8er listed in his post above. (see attached images) Can anyone who has access to these files package them up in a zip file and post it somewhere? I've checked all my newer discs CNDV-90MT and CNDV-100MT and none of them have these files. My AVIC N4 was working perfectly with the CNDV-90MT disc and started showing the 'Please insert appropriate disc' error after I attempted to upgrade to the CNDV-100MT disc.

Has anyone managed to fix this problem themselves without having to send their head unit in to Pioneer or some eBay repair guys for $120.00?

Once it is extracted, you will find the file: LOADING.KWI Burn the LOADING.KWI file to a blank DVD. Here you have to take care of two things: 1) Don't put the file into any folder on the DVD.

The file must be in the root directory (i.e it should be the only file on the DVD. No folders or anything). 2) The name of the DVD should be 86271_V289A5 Once you have written the file to a blank DVD, just insert the DVD in your deck in the MAP slot, and you will be good to go.
