Since the Curtis Paper Mill located at Milford, NJ closed down in the Summer of 2003, most of the former Pennsylvania Railroad Bel-Del line has been dormant. The only part of the line that sees frequent operations are from Phillipsburg, NJ (Beginning of the line) to Carpentersville, NJ. The Belvidere Delaware Railroad serves a few customers between the two areas, including Probuild and Baer Quarry. Furthermore, the Delaware River Railroad Excursions runs on weekends with their steam engine #142 to Carpentersville and back. Only very rarely do they go south of Carpentersville, such as shown in this video.

On 9/22/16, the BDRV made a trip to Reigelsville, NJ to move a string of stored cars. The power used to do this is a former Penn Central/Conrail/NS SW1500, recently repainted for the BDRV. This video shows the full chase south and north on the line.
